The Importance of the Education of Gender Pronouns
evolve is a project that explores on education through empathy by creating engagement in the subject of gender pronouns, focusing on their importance, usage in our society, and their relation to gender identity.
This is presented in the form of a website that works as a guide that flows by story telling, where the user is able to follow the life of a persona throughout their day from professional to personal everyday experiences.

I will always advocate for my community and try to create a kinder and more accepting place and I believe education through empathy is a great opportunity to create this with design.
My research begins with the question “How can design be used to engage and educate people about the usage of pronouns in relation to gender identity?.” With this in mind I considered the methods that would give me the most insight and the better understanding, settling for interviews from different testimonies about experiences and why they think this is important to bring more awareness to. I also did a brief survey and for my final method I did a lot of online observation through social media.

From the feedback that I received knew that it was important to potentially create a learning system that could relate to a diverse group of people from opposite sides of the spectrum by creating engagement and approachability.
As mentioned before I created a guide that could potentially be used by companies, schools and homes to educate people on the importance of addressing somebody by their appropriate gender pronoun and also doing this through following a persona’s day while learning from their story.
I use illustrations as a way to make it approachable and appealing, welcoming a brought audience to discover evolve and see it as an open space that conveys the feeling of harmony and uniqueness to each persona.
